Description
The VP flushing swivel is designed to supply drilling fluid from the pump to the bottom of the well and to provide rotation of the tubing string during workover operations on oil and gas wells in temperate and cold (Region I2) climatic zones in accordance with GOST 16350-80.
The VP flushing swivel consists of a stem and a housing with an outlet for connecting a flushing hose. Two angular contact ball bearings are installed inside the swivel housing to ensure free rotation of the stem.
The internal cavity of the swivel housing is sealed at both the upper and lower ends against drilling fluid penetration by rubber seals and protected from dust and dirt by felt packing rings. A flanged connection is mounted at the end of the outlet for attachment to the flushing hose. During operation, the swivel housing acts on the swivel stem. A cap is threaded onto the upper end of the stem, allowing the swivel to be suspended by an elevator.
