Description

The PBK-4 Pneumatic Suspended Power Tong is designed for the mechanical make-up, break-out, and final tightening of drill pipe and casing pipe threaded connections during tripping operations in rotary and turbine drilling.

The tong speeds up the make-up and break-out of drill pipe and casing pipe using a pneumatic drive without the need to replace jaws. It operates within the range of 73–168 mm for drill pipes and up to 426 mm for casing pipes. Final tightening is performed using mechanical tongs. The unit increases operational efficiency while maintaining a relatively low weight and does not require the use of environmentally hazardous components.

Designed for operation in temperate macroclimatic regions in accordance with GOST 16350-80.
