Description

The ED-P wedge elevator (slip-type) is designed for gripping and lifting drill pipes, casing strings, and tubing during tripping operations. It provides a reliable and efficient solution for pipe handling in drilling applications.

The ED-P wedge elevator with a central latch is a combined lifting tool utilizing four slips with interchangeable inserts. This design ensures a secure grip on tubing or casing while leaving only minimal marks on the pipe surface. A key design feature is the dual safety locking system, which significantly reduces the risk of accidental opening during operation.

ED-P wedge elevators with a central latch are available for pipe sizes ranging from 48 mm to 194 mm (1.9" to 7 5/8") and with load capacities from 20 to 200 tonnes.

ED-P wedge elevators are manufactured from high-strength alloy steel. Each unit undergoes proof load testing and magnetic particle inspection to ensure structural integrity and operational safety. They comply with TU 05273837.303838.025 and are fully interchangeable with imported Y-Series wedge elevators.

The quality of ED-P wedge elevators fully complies with the requirements of API Spec 8A/8C for drilling hoisting equipment.
