Description
Cast elevator EN is designed for gripping and suspending casing strings during tripping operations while drilling wells. It is used in moderate climatic conditions according to GOST 16350-80.
The cast casing pipe elevator EN consists of the following main assemblies and parts: body, hinge axle, latch, pawl, lock safety device, and elevator link protectors.
The elevator body is a massive cast steel component with open side lugs for links and an internal bore for the gripped pipe. The steel cast latch is connected to the body by a hinge and rotates during opening and closing of the elevator.
The EN elevator pawl provides automatic locking when the door is closed and prevents accidental opening of the elevator during tripping operations. The pawl is connected to the body by a pawl axle and has a projection that, in the closed position of the elevator, is located under the supporting surface of the casing pipe coupling. This projection provides additional fixation in the locked position.
The pawl operates automatically due to the presence of an adjusting spring and an inclined head surface. The spring operates in tension mode. One end is attached to the spring axle in the body, and the other end is connected to the eyelet. The lock safety device fixes the pawl in the closed position and provides additional locking protection of the elevator.
The full installed service life of the cast elevator EN is at least 1.5 years. The average service life is at least 3 years.
Warranty period of operation — 12 months from the date of commissioning.
