Description
EF elevators with the Fiksa gripping device (EZN) are designed for operation with tubing and drill pipes during tubing tripping operations without the use of a spider.
The elevator consists of a body and a sliding door. The lower part of the elevator body has a circular support flange, by which the elevator is installed on the wellhead flange. The upper part of the body has a semi-ring shaped shoulder, the lower surface of which rests on the protrusion of the gripping device body. The elevator body is equipped with two oppositely positioned grooves that guide the movement of the door splines. The assembled body and door form a closed elevator structure.
The pipe coupling rests on the protrusions of the upper shoulder of the body and the door. For ease of operation, a handle is welded to the elevator; the upper end of the handle is located in the same plane as the upper end of the support flange.
