Description
ETA tubing elevators are designed for gripping under the coupling or tool joint and suspending tubing or drill pipe strings according to GOST 633-80 and GOST 631-75 during tripping operations, both with vertically positioned pipes and with pipes laid on the pipe rack during well development and repair operations of oil and gas wells. The elevators are designed for operation in moderate and cold climatic regions according to GOST 16350-80.
The ETA elevator consists of the following main parts and assemblies: body, links, replaceable grips for various pipe diameters, guides, and a locking mechanism consisting of a rotating handle with a spring retainer and lever. The ETA elevator body is a cast component with an internal bore for installation of the grip with the pipe. The body is connected by pins and hinges to the link, which is used for suspending the elevator from the hook of the hoisting system. On the rear side of the body, the rotating handle of the locking mechanism is secured using balls placed in the grooves of the body and handle bushing.
The ETA elevator grip is designed for gripping the pipe by the coupling. A dedicated grip is provided for each pipe diameter. The grip consists of right and left jaws and a stem, which are connected by a hinge pin.
The locking mechanism consists of a handle equipped with a spring retainer and a lever actuated by a spring.
The guides ensure synchronous opening of the grip jaws during pipe engagement and limit the extension of the grip from the elevator body.
