Description
The KTDU Pipe Tong is designed for the mechanized and manual make-up and break-out of threaded tubing (OCTG) connections during well servicing operations. It is intended for use in temperate and cold macroclimatic regions in accordance with GOST 16350-80.
The KTDU tubing tong consists of a jaw pivotally connected to a latch and handle by means of pins secured with cotter pins. A spring mounted on a guide is installed inside the latch, providing automatic clamping of the pipe between the jaw and the latch. The latch opening angle is limited by a stop integrated into the jaw. Two gripping dies are installed in dovetail grooves on both the latch and the jaw. The dies are secured against falling out by spring retainers (clips).
