Description

The KMP-G hydraulic suspended power tong and the 3KMS-G stationary power tong are designed for making up and breaking out tubing and drill pipe during tripping operations performed in well servicing and workover operations. They are intended for use with A-50, UPA-60 AzINMASH, and similar hoisting units in temperate and cold macroclimatic regions (Region I2) in accordance with GOST 16350-80, at ambient temperatures from −40°C to +40°C.

The KMP-G power tong includes:

a suspension compensator for vertical movement;
a hydraulic system providing smooth adjustment of torque and gripping device rotation speed;
a two-speed rotary drive with a gear transmission and a protective gate covering the tong opening;
a cam-type pipe gripping mechanism;
a lever-type hydraulic backup device with a set of interchangeable components to absorb reaction torque;
a control system with operating handles mounted directly on the tong.

The KMP-G suspended power tong combines high torque output, ease of operation, simple maintenance, reliability, and long service life, making it an efficient solution for tubing and drill pipe handling during well servicing operations.
